How to: Turnitin.com
Follow these steps to turn in your essays(due on Friday, 2/19 by 11:50pm).
1. Login to turnitin.com with your email and password.
2. Click on your class and 'submit'
3. Choose 'single file upload'
4. Make sure your name is correct and give your submission a title. Something school appropriate and relatively non-offense, please.
5. Browse for the file on your hard drive or flash drive and click 'upload.' If you have Word, you may leave your file as the default 'doc' or 'docx' file type. If you do not, you must save your file as a rich text file, which will give it the extension .rtf. For most word processors, this can be done by 'saving as' and choosing .rtf as the file type. **For Mac users, George experimented and came up with a solution:"copy the document from Pages into TextEdit and save as .rtf." That means nothing to me, but must if you have a Mac. I'm too poor to own one.

What's Due Tomorrow?
We had our stupid Thursday off and now we're incredibly behind. However, the power of the internet will save us. Here's what is DUE for tomorrow:
1. Works Cited page for your editorials.
2. You need to sign up for turnitin.com
I will upload stuff on notecards and outlines today...probably before or after dinner. Please look these over and be ready to ask me questions tomorrow. Period 9/10, you still have to take the surveys tomorrow, so it's a good thing you're actually ahead.

Yes, I'm very bored.
Random suggestions: Read The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Yes, it's a children's book, but it's also life-changing. I have no idea why this is currently on my mind. I did try to read it to Westley, but he seems to rebel when there are not enough pictures.

More stuff...MLA format and Works Cited pages
Okay, it's twelfth period and I'm coming to terms with the truth...we may have off. Ms. Daube has convinced me this may not be a bad thing. Instead of spending hours in front of your computer, mindlessly facebooking and laughing at people on youtube, maybe you should format your editorials and get those works cited pages going.

There's a link within the link if you want to use the Word 2007 auto-bibliography maker tool...it's pretty cool and helps you insert citations error-free: )
You should also visit the link on the side of the page: citationmachine.net
It will help you format any citations or works cited entries--it will even give you the option to cut-and-paste right into your word processor.
